Apprenticeships At DHU
Embarking on an apprenticeship at DHU opens the gateway to a thriving career with a leading healthcare provider in the region. In collaboration with Learning Unlimited, we guarantee a nurturing and steady foundation throughout your apprenticeship. Our hands-on training approach ensures that you’re not just a part of the team, but a valued contributor from day one.
What is an apprenticeship?
At DHU, apprentices are our future stars in healthcare. They jump into a special training plan that mixes classroom learning with real-world experience in the health field. Our experienced team guides them every step of the way, teaching them both the hands-on and book-smart sides of the job. This means they’re not just learning; they’re helping out and making a difference from day one. Once they finish their training at DHU, they’re all set to be top-notch health pros, trained by the best and ready to give patients top-quality care.
Benefits of an apprenticeship
Starting an apprenticeship at DHU is like diving right into the world of healthcare, but with a safety net. You’ll get a real job where you learn the ropes while earning a decent wage. Plus, you’ll get the usual holidays and pay. About a fifth of your time will be spent studying – maybe at a college or with a training group. And don’t worry, there’ll be checks along the way to see how you’re doing. The best part? At the end of it all, you’re set up for a bright future in healthcare, and you’ll have DHU cheering you on every step of the way.
Become an apprentice
Thinking of becoming an apprentice at DHU? Here’s what you need to know. First, you’ve got to be 18 or older and not currently in full-time education. Plus, you need to be living in England. It doesn’t matter if you’re just kicking off your career, fancy a job swap, or are keen to learn more in your present role. Even if you’ve got other qualifications, like a degree, you can still hop onto an apprenticeship with us. For those outside England, you might want to look into apprenticeship programmes in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland.
